The two flasks of equal volumes are connected by a narrow tube of negligible volume initially both flasks are at 27 degree centigrade and contain a total of 0.7 of hydrogen gas at a pressure of 0.5atm. One of the flask is then kept in a hot oil bath at 127 degree centigrade while the other is kept at 27 degree centigrade. Calculate (1) the final pressure of the system (2) the number of moles of hydrogen gas in each flask (neglect the expansion of the flask).

Answer:

Two flasks of equal volume connected by a narrow tube (of negligible volume) are at 27∘C and contain 0.70 mole of H2 to 0.5atm One of the flask is then immersed into a bath kept at 127∘C while the other remains at 27∘C Calculate the final pressure and the number of mole of H2 in each flask .
