Given :

⬤ Two legs of right angle triangle measure 12 cm and 13 cm.

To Find :

⬤ Hypotenuse of Right angle triangle .

Formula Used :

\sf[\:{{(Hypotenuse)}^{2}={(Base)}^{2}+{(Perpendicular)}^{2}\:]}

Figure :

\setlength{\unitlength}{1cm}\begin{picture}(6,5)\linethickness{.4mm}\put(1,1){\line(1,0){4.5}}\put(1,1){\line(0,1){3.5}}\qbezier(1,4.5)(1,4.5)(5.5,1)\put(.3,2.5){\large\bf 12}\put(2.8,.3){\large\bf 13}\put(1.02,1.02){\framebox(0.3,0.3)}\put(.7,4.8){\large\bf A}\put(.8,.3){\large\bf B }\put(5.8,.3){\large\bf C }\end{picture}

Solution :

(H)² = (B)² + (P)²

(AC)² = (BC)² + (AB)²

(AC)² = (13)² + (12)²

(AC)² = (13×13) + (12×12)

(AC)² = 169 + 144

(AC)² = 313

AC = √313

AC = 17.69

Therefore , Hypotenuse of Right angle Tringle is 17.69 cm .

Step-by-step explanation:

In Pythagoras theorem...

In all right angle triangle:

hypotenuse = hight²+ base²

= 12² + 13²

= 144 + 169

= 313

= 1724
