Let the two numbers be x and y

x/y=3/2. 2x=3y. x=3/2y

x²-y²=125

(3/2y)²-y²-125=0

9/4y²-y²-125=0

Solve the above equation to get the answer...

GIVEN:-

The two number are in the ratio of 3:2. and the difference of their square is 125.

To find:-

The Required Number.

Solution:-

Let the ratio be "x".

First Number = 3x

Second Number = 2x

Atq.

(First Number)² - (Second Number)² = 125

(3x)² - (2x)² = 125

9x²- 4x² = 125

5x² = 125

x² = 125/5

x² = 25

√x² = √25

x = 5.

Therefore,

First Number = 3x = 15.

Second Number = 2x = 10.

VERIFICATION

(First Number)² - (Second Number)² = 125

(15)² - (10)² = 125

225 - 100 = 125

125 = 125.
