according to the question x-y=3------(1)

let the greater number be x

and the smaller number be y

so 3x+2y=19--------(2)

(1)×3=3x-3y=9

(2)×1=3x+2y=19

=>y= -10/-5

=>y=2

putting the value of y in equation (1) we get

x-y=3

=>x-2=3

=>x=3+2

=>x=5

so the numbers are 5 and 2.
