The parenchyma cells of a plant are used for storage and photosynthesis, as well as repairing damage. There are several types of parenchyma cells and they are scattered throughout the stem and leaves of a plant. These cells store material and nutrients for the plant to use. They also work with chloroplasts to perform photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process of using sunlight to produce foods from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis also produces oxygen back into the atmosphere. Parenchyma cells can also divide and grow to replace cells that have been damaged.

Hope this helped!!!
