Answer:

\alpha = -4

\beta = -6

\alpha  + \beta = - 4 - 6 = -10

\alpha \beta = (-4)(-6) = 24

As we know that the form of the polynomial is

P(x) = x^{2} - (\alpha + \beta)x  + \alpha \beta

P(x) = x^{2} - (-10)x  + 24

P(x) = x^{2} + 10x  + 24                            (equation 1)

And also the polynomial is of the form

P(x) = ax^{2} + bx  + c                               (equation 2)

from equation 1 & 2 we get that

=> coefficient of b is 10
