if the pendulum is inilatially at the rest...as at the mean position initially it has no velocity...thus it would have no energy possed. ..

When the pendulum reaches the very bottom of the swing, it is at its lowest point and greatest speed. This meansthat the pendulum has zero potential energy (with respect to its restposition) and maximum kineticenergy.....
