Option C) Split Form

Split Form showing two part.

  • Click the table or query that includes the data you want on your form in the Navigation Pane. The table or query can also be opened in Datasheet view. Click More Forms, followed by Split Form, in the Create tab's Forms group.
  • A split form allows you to simultaneously see the Form view and the Datasheet view of your data. The two views are always in sync with one another because they are connected to the same data source. When a field is selected in one section of the form, the identical field is also selected in the other section. Depending on whether the record source is updateable and whether you haven't configured it, you can add, edit, or remove data from either section.
  • Working with split forms allows you to combine the advantages of both forms kinds into a single form. For instance, you can easily find a record using the datasheet component of the form, then see or change the record using the form portion. The form section can work as a visually appealing and useful header for the datasheet section. Many of the template databases that are available for Access use this method.
