THIS IS BECAUSE WHILE IN FLIGHT DUE TO AIR FRICTION CHARGES DEVELOPED ON THE WINGS.THE WINGS IS WHERE THE FUEL TANK KEPT.THEREFORE TO avoid any mishapes the wings are grounded through conducting tyres.

Answer:

The tyres of aircrafts are highly charged during landing to friction between the tyres and the airstrip. If the tyres are slightly conducting, the charge will not accumulate on them and will leak to the earth.

This is the reason why the tyre of the aeroplane is made from a special rubber which is a reasonably good conductor of electricity.
