unequal side of an isosceles triangle = 15
here,
its perimeter = 15 + x + x
24= 15 +2x
24-15= 2x
9= 2x
x= 9/2
NOW
area,
BY HERONS FORMULA
s= (a+b+c)/2
therefore s= (15 +9/2 +9/2)/2
s=12< by taking L.C.M>
area=√12×( 15-12)×(9/2- 12)× (9/2 -12)
= √12×3×(-15/2) ×(-15/2)
=√3×3×225
3×15
45cm²
