Answer: let the other two equal sides be 2x

a=6cm

Perimeter = a+b+c

24cm = 6+2x

24-6=2x

18=2x

18/2=x

9=x

Semi perimeter= a+b+c/2

= 24/2

=12cm

By Heron's formula

Area =√S(S-a)(S-b)(S-c)

Area= √12(12-6)(12-9)(12-9)

Area= √12(6)(3)(3)

Area= √12(54)

Area= √648

Area =18√2 cm sq

Answer:

Let the equal side be x

So 6+x+x=24

2x=18

x=9

s=24/2=12

area=√12(12-6)(12-9)(12-9)

=√12×6×3×3

=18√2 sq.cm
