let the length of one of the equal sides be x
then the length of the unequal side is 6+x
perimeter = x + x + 6 + x = 36
3x + 6 = 36
3x = 30
x= 10cm
length of unequal side is 6+10 = 16cm
so the length of sides are 10cm, 10cm, 16cm

equal sides=x
unequal side=x+6
x+x+x+6=36
3x+6=36
3x=36-6
3x=30
x=30/3
=10
therefore sides are 10cm ,10cm ,and (10+6cm)=16cm
