Answer:

perimeter is 50 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

draw a perpendicular line from the opposite vertex to the unequal side

then we got 2 right triangle with base 12 cm each

if the area of the larger triangle

is 60 cm^2 then

each smaller has 30 cm^2

area = 1/2 × 12 × _ = 30

= 1/2 × 12 × 5 = 30

then the height is 5 cm

according to Pythagoras

12^2 + 5^2

= 144 + 25 =169

√169 = 13

we will get the hypotenuse

as third side

since it's an isosceles

the equal sides are 13 cm each

we know the unequal side is 24 cm

then the perimeter

= 24 + 13 + 13 = 50 cm

area = 1/2 × 24 × 5 = 60 cm^2

hope u understand...

all the best my friend..
