Answer:

108 - 48 = Sum of its other two same sides = 60 cm

So one side = 30 cm

By Pythagoras theorem the length of the median = \sqrt{(30)^{2} - (24)^{2} } \\

                                                                            = \sqrt{900 - 576 }

                                                                            = \sqrt{324}

                                                                            = 18 cm

Now the area of the triangle = 1/2 * Base * Height

                                            = 1/2 * 48 * 18

                                            = 432 cm^{2}

Hence the area of the Isosceles Triangle is 432 cm^{2}
