Explanation:

Radius of hydrogen atom, r = 0.5 Å = 0.5 × 10-10 m

Volume of hydrogen atom = (4/3) π r3

= (4/3) × (22/7) × (0.5 × 10-10)3

= 0.524 × 10-30 m3

1 mole of hydrogen contains 6.023 × 1023 hydrogen atoms.

∴ Volume of 1 mole of hydrogen atom = 6.023 × 1023 × 0.524 × 10–30

= 3.16 × 10–7 m3

Atomic Value = 3. 154 x 10^-7 m^3

➡Given:-

  • r = 0. 5 Å = 0.5 x 10^-7 m^3

➡To Find:-

  • The total atomic volume in m^3 of a mole of a hydrogen atoms = ?

➡Solution:-

▶Atomic Volume of 1 mol of hydrogen atom is calculated by :

  • Atomic Volume = Avogadro's Number x Volume of each atom

  • Atomic Volume = NA x 4/3 πr^3

  • Atomic Volume = 6. 022 x 10^23 x 4/3 x 3.14 x 0.5 x 3. 142 x (0. 5 10^-10)^3

  • Atomic Volume = 3. 154 x 10^-7 m^3

▶Therefore the atomic volume of 1 mol of hydrogen atoms is 3.154 x 10^-7 m^3
