let a tens digit is x

7 (x+2)=10x+2

7x+14=10x+2

3x=12

x=4

10x+2=10 (4)+2

=42

4+2=6×7=42

therefore ,the number is 42

Therefore,

  • Original number = (10x + 2)

Now,

➯ 7x + 14 = 10x + 2

➯ 10x - 7x = 14 -2

➯3x = 12

➯x = 12/3

➯x = 4

Therefore,

Required number, (10x + 2) = 42

∴ Hence, the original number is 42.
