Sc represents the set of rational that are not integers.

  • Set U represents the universal set, which is the the set of all rational numbers,  whereas set S represents the set of all integers.
  • Sc is the complement of the set S.
  • If U represents every number and S represents every integers, then all numbers that are not integers are the complement of S.
  • Thus, Sc = U - S = Every rational number - The set of integers
  • Therefore Sc will represent the set of rational which are not integers.
