The upper part of a tree is broken by wind and makes an angle of 30°with the ground.At the distance of 21 m from the foot of the tree.Find the height of the tree?

cos 30° = 21/x

x(Hypotenuse) = 42

tan 30° = y/21

y \: opposite= 21/ \sqrt{3}

Height of the tree = x + y

 = 42 + 21/ \sqrt{3}

= 78.456 metres
