In patients with diabetes, there is either insulin resistance or insulin ineffectiveness, which leads to low glucose reabsorption in the kidney. As a result of this, the patients suffers from excessive urination and secretion of glucose in the urine through effects on the patient's kidneys.. This condition is known as glycosuria. It might lead to dehydration in the body.
