Bihu is one of the major festivals of Assam. In Magh, Bihu Uruka is performed.
The people of Assam celebrate the harvesting of the crop during the middle of January and the previous night of the day of celebration is known as Uruku.
During Uruku night Assamese people eat good food and the night is known as feasting night.
