The valley between Pir Panjal range on the southwest and Himadri on the northeast, is the Kashmiri valley. It is also referred to as Vale of Kashmir. It is in the region of Kashmir that falls under the administration of India. Spread over an area of 15,948km2, Jhelum River is seen flowing across this region.
