Imagine a division problem, such as 4÷2, as saying “4 is actually the sum of two equal sets, find the size of one of the sets”. A problem that divides by a fraction, such as 4÷1/2, basically says “4 is one of equal sets, find the sum of the two sets”

In other words when you divide by a number larger than one you’re treating the dividend as a larger whole made of a bunch of equally sized smaller pieces. but when you divide by a number less than one your treating the dividend as if it’s a fraction of a larger whole. Basically it turns division into multiplication, the inverse happens if you multiply a number by a number less than one. The way to make it easier is turn it from division to multiplication and turn the fraction upsidedown(ex: 1/2 to 2/1) so now your multiplying the former dividend by a number larger than 1, and The resulting equation is mathematically identical to th original

Answer:

-3\frac{3}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{\frac{\frac{1}{2} }{\frac{1}{-3} } }{\frac{2}{5} } = \frac{\frac{-3}{2} }{\frac{2}{5} }  = \frac{-3}{2} . \frac{5}{2} = -\frac{15}{4} = -3\frac{3}{4}
