Solution:

Let:-

 \sf {1. \overline{9} = x} ____(1)

Multiply (1) by 10:-

 \sf { 19. \overline{9} = 10x} _____(2)

(2) - (1):-

 \sf{ 19. \overline{9} - 1.\overline{9} = 10x -x}

→ 18 = 9x

→ x = 2

Thus:-

 \boxed {\sf { \frac{p}{q} \: form \: of \: 1.\overline{9} \: is \: 2}}\\
