Let the cost of sugar/kg is Rsx

Rice. is Rs y Cost of 12Kg sugar =12x cost. 12x=6y 6kg Rice = 6y

y=12x/6=2x.

Cost of lOkgsugar=IOX cost of 8kg sugar = 8y

10x +8y=1040

5x+4y=520 (2)

5x+8x=520

13 x = 520

x = 40

Cost of 1Kg of sugar = Rs 40
