Given:

4/5 - 2/3.

To find:

The value of 4/5 - 2/3.

Solution:

As given, we have,

 \frac{4}{5}  -  \frac{2}{3}

as the denominator is different in both fractions, so, first of all, we will make the denominator the same by taking LCM of these two denominators.

So, the LCM of 5 and 3 is 15.

Now,

on multiplying the numerator and denominator of given fractions 4/5 and 2/3 by 3 and 5 respectively, we have,

 \frac{4 \times 3}{5 \times 3}  -  \frac{2 \times 5}{3 \times 5}

 =  \frac{12}{15}  -  \frac{10}{15}

 =  \frac{12 - 10}{15}

 =  \frac{2}{15}

So, the value of 4/5 - 2/3 is 2/15.
