  • We have to evaluate the above expression by using the given data.

               Given data:-(a+b)^{2} -(a-b)^{2} .

               To find:- Value of above expression.

               Solution:-

  • To solve the above equation we will follow the BODMAS rule.
  • BODMAS rule is to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics. It stands for,

     B= bracket

      O= order of power or rules

      D= division

      M= multiplication

      A= addition

      S=subtraction

      Therefore,

         (a+b)^{2} -(a-b)^{2} \\\Rightarrow a^{2} +b^{2} +2ab-a^{2} -b^{2}+2ab\\\Rightarrow 2ab+2ab\\\Rightarrow 4ab.

     Hence we will get (a+b)^{2} -(a-b)^{2} =4ab.
