Answer:

1st answer

Let the value of the car a year ago be x.

Then present value of car = x - (12% of x)

According to the question, the present value of the car is ₹6,16,000

So,

x - (12% of x) = 6,16,000

→ x - (12/100 * x) = 6,16,000

→ x - 3x/25 = 6,16,000

→ 22x/25 = 6,16,000

→ x = (6,16,000 * 25)/22

→ x = ₹7,00,000 Ans.

2nd answer:

Let the value of the car after a year be y.

According to the question, value of the car after a year = present value - (12% of present value)

So,

y = 6,16,000 - (12% of 6,16,000)

→ y = 6,16,000 - (12/100 * 6,16,000)

→ y = 6,16,000 - 73,920

→ y = 5,42,080 Ans

hope the answer helps you ∧∧
