the ones digit of A* A is A, it must be that A-1, 5 or 6. A-1 setisfies A A-A, but it is not possible as the product is 9A. Similarly, A-5 satisfies A* A- A, but it is not possible as the product is 9A. For A-6, we have,

Clearly, A-6 satisfies the given product.
