the value of a machine depreciates every year by 20%. if the present value of the machine be rupees 160000, what was it's value last year​

∵ the value of machine depriciate by 20% every year,

∴ the present value of machine = x - 20% of x

=> 160000 = x -20/100*x

=>160000 = x - 2x/10

=>160000 = 8x/10

=>160000 / 8/10 = x

=>160000*10/8 = x

=>200000 = x

∴The value of machine last year​ was rupees 2,00,000
