→ Rate of depreciation per year = 12%

→ Time = 3 years.

then,

→ Final value of refrigerator = Original value * [ 1 - (Rate of depreciation / 100)]^(time) = 7812.5 * [1 - (12/100)]³ = 7812.5 * [ 1 - (3/25)]³ = 7812.5 * (22/25)³ = (7812.5 * 22 * 22 * 22) / (25 * 25 * 25) = Rs. 5324 .

therefore,

→ The depreciation in its value in 3 years = 7812.5 - 5324 = Rs.2488.5 (Ans.)
