As the earth is not a perfect sphere The radius of the earth increases from poles to the equator. As the gravitational force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance therefore as the distance decreases the gravitational force of the earth on the object increases. So as the distance at pools is lesser as compared to the equator to the centre of the earth therefore the weight of the object is greater at the poles (The weight of an object is the force with which the earth pull it)
