Solution:

❥ Acceleration Due to Gravity is the acceleration gained by an object due to gravitational force.

The value of acceleration due to gravity is affected by the shape of the Earth, Rotational motion of the Earth, Attitude above the earth's surface. Depth below the earth's surface.

  • Acceleration due to gravity is maximum at sea level on the geographic poles.

  • Its value decreases and is least at the sea level on equator.

  • Its value decreases if, the body moves away from the surface of earth. i.e.; at higher altitudes.

  • Its value decreases, if the body is taken deep inside the mine.

  • Its value is zero, at the centre of the Earth.
