Step-by-step explanation:

Given The value of acceleration due to gravity on the Earth at a distance of 29,000 km from the surface  is 0.3 ms 2. The value of acceleration due to gravity at the same height  66.70 x 1022 kg and diameter is 8700 km is _ms? (Take G = 6.67 x 10 Nm'kg).

  • Given value at the surface of earth is g = 0.3 m / s^2
  • Now g’ = Gm / (R + h)^2
  • Now diameter = 8700 km
  • So radius = 8700 / 2 = 4350 km = 4350 x 10^3 m
  •         So g’  = 6.67 x 10^-11 x 66.7 x 10^22 / (4350 x 10^3 + 29000 x 10^3 )^2
  •                  = 444.889 x 10^11 / (333.50)^2 x 10^6

                = 0.04 m / s^2
