Answer :-

Given :-

  • Quadratic equation : x²-2x+1=0

To Find :-

  • Value of discriminant

Solution :-

Discriminant = b² - 4ac

where

  • a is coefficient of x²
  • b is coefficient of x
  • c is constant

For the given equation :-

  • a = 1
  • b = -2
  • c = 1

→ D = b² - 4ac

→ D = (-2)² - 4 × 1 × 1

→ D = 4 - 4

→ D = 0

Value of Discriminant = 0

For the equation x²-2x+1=0 :-

  • a = 1
  • b = -2
  • c = 1

→ \bold \red {D = b² - 4ac} \\ \\ → D = (-2)² - 4 × 1 × 1 \\ \\ → D = 4 - 4 \\ \\ → D = 0

Value of Discriminant = 0
