G is the universal constant. it does not change with respect to position or distance.

g is acc. due to force of gravity which is dependant on distance between the objects.

The reason is as follows :

Explanation:

  • G or universal gravitation constant. It remains same always. It didn't depend on the location of the object. The value of G is 6.67\times 10^{-11}\ Nm^2/kg^2.
  • The value of g on the surface of Earth is 9.8\ m/s^2. The value of g is different at different places.

Hence, we can say that the value of ‘g’ keeps changing as we move away from the earth whereas value of ‘G’ remains constant all over the universe.
