First of all that g should not be small g, its should be capital G.

Because small g has value of 9.8m/s²

So, Capital G is universal gravitational constant whose value is

6.67259 \times  {10}^{ - 11} N {m}^{2} / {kg}^{2}

It is universal constant, it mean no matter u r on earth or the moon or any part of universe, it will always same.
