Answer:

if -4 is a zero of p(x) then p(-4) = 0

x² + x - (3k +3) = 0

(-4)² + (-4) - (3k + 3) = 0

16 - 4 -3k -3 = 0

16 - 7 -3k = 0

9 - 3k = 0

9 = 3 k

9/3 = k

3 = k
