hi mate your answer↓

the roots are real and equal

a=k, b= 5,c=1

b^2-4ac=0
5^2-4×k×1=0
25-4k=0
-4k=-25
k=25/4

hope that it will help you

The given equation is
Kx^2 +5x +1 =0
Comparing the given equation with
ax^2 +bx +c = 0

We get
a =k, b =5, c =1

We have

b^2 - 4ac = 5^2 - 4 *k *1
=25 - 4k
Given
b^2 - 4ac =0

Hence

25 - 4k =0

25 =4k
25 /4 =k

K =25 /4
