for real roots discriminant of equation should be greater than zero

d \geqslant 0 \\ 4 {k}^{2}  - 20k \geqslant 0 \\ k(4k - 20) = 0 \\ k = 0 \: and \: 5

Here is your answer

_________________________________

x² - 2kx + 5k = 0

real roots = b² - 4ac <0

a = x² b = -2kx c = 5k

we apply b² - 4ac

( -2k)² - 4* 1 * 5

4k² -20 K = 0

K ( 4k - 20 ) = 0

4 K = 20

K = 20 / 5

K = 5

hence the value of K = 0 , 5
