If X - 1 is a factor ,

Then X = 1 is it's zeros ..

P ( 1 ) = 3 ( 1 ) + 2 (1) - k

= 0 = 3 + 2 - k

- 5 = -k

( X - 1 ) is a factor the given polynomial 3X² + 2X - K.

( X - 1 ) = 0

X = 1

P ( X ) = 3X² + 2X - K

P (1) = 3 × (1)² + 2 × 1 - K

=> 3 × 1 + 2 × 1 - K

=> 3 + 2 - K

=> 5 - K = 0

=> K = 5
