Hello!

∵ 2k + 1, 3k + 3, 3k - 1 are consecutive terms.
∴ d₁ = d₂

Then,

3k + 3 - (2k + 1) = 3k - 1 - (3k + 3)

⇒ 3k + 3 - 2k - 1 = 3k - 1 - 3k - 3

⇒ k + 2 = - 4

⇒ k = - 4 - 2 ⇒ k = - 6
