Given : f(x) = 2x²+Mx-6 = 0

One root is  2

To Find: Value of the M

Solution:

2x²+Mx-6 = 0

One root is  2

=> 2(2)² + M(2)  - 6 = 0

=> 8 + 2M - 6 = 0

=> 2M + 2 = 0

=> M + 1 = 0

=> M = -1

The value of M is - 1
