Answer:

p(x)=x^3-3x^2+5

to find p(-1)

p(-1)=(-1)^3-3×(-1)^2+5

we know that -1 raised to any odd numbers is -1 itself and same raised to any even number is 1.

therefore, it becomes

p(-1)=(-1)-[3×(1)]+5

= -1-3+5

= -4+5

= 1

p(-1)=1..

hence solved.
