GIVEN : Sin 50- sin40

TO FIND: The value of sin 50° - sin 40° is positive

SOLUTION:

Formula for Sin A - Sin B = 2 cos(\frac{A+B}{2})sin(\frac{A-B}{2})

As per the formula Sin 50 - Sin 40 = 2 (Cos(\frac{50+40}{2} )Sin(\frac{50-40}{2})

Sin 50 - Sin 40 = 2 (Cos(\frac{90}{2} )Sin(\frac{10\\}{2})

Sin 50 - Sin 40 = 2 cos(45)sin(5)

Values of cos 45 = 0.70710678118

value of sin 5 = 0.08715574274

Substituting the values such that

Sin 50 - Sin 40 = 2 *0.70710678118 * 0.08715574274

Therefore the value is 0.12325683343

Hence The value will be positive
