Solution:-

{ \sin}^{2} ( \frac{\pi}{6} )  +  { \cos }^{2}  (\frac{\pi}{3} ) -  { \tan }^{2} ( \frac{\pi}{6} )

 { \sin }^{2} ( \frac{180}{6} ) +  { \cos }^{2} ( \frac{180}{3} )  -   { \tan}^{2} ( \frac{180}{6} )

 { \sin}^{2} 30 +  { \cos}^{2} 60 -  { \tan }^{2} 30

{( \frac{1}{2} )}^{2}  + ( { \frac{1}{2} })^{2}  -  ({ \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{3} })^{2}

 \frac{1}{4}  +  \frac{1}{4}  -  \frac{3}{9}

( \frac{1 + 1}{4} ) -  \frac{3}{9}

 \frac{1}{2}-\frac{3}{9}

 \frac{9-3}{18}

\frac{1}{3}
