For sine function, i.e. sin(x), as angle (x) increases, sin(x) value also increases, but for cosine function, i.e. cos(x), the value of cos(x) decreases as angle (x) increases. This is applicable for angles between 0° to 90°.
So, the value of the expression {sin(80°) - cos(80°)} will be positive and not negative, because,
sin(80°) > 0 ;
cos(80°) > 0 ;
and, sin(80°) > cos(80°)
Thus,
sin(80°) - cos(80°) > 0
