Step-by-step explanation:

polynomial = 2x²+5x+k....... given

a and b are zeroes

a²+b² = 21/4.............. given

=> (a+b)² - 2ab = 21/4

=> -5/2-2×k/2 = 21/4

=> -5-2k = 21×2/4= 21/2

=> -2k = 21/2+5= 31/2

=> k = 31 / ( 2×-2) = -31/4

=> k = -31/4

formula used

(1) + = ( A+B)²-2AB

(2) alfa+beta= -b/a

(3) alfa×beta = c/a
