x =  - 1 \\  \\ p(x) = 5x - 4 {x}^{2}  + 3 \\  \\ p(x) =  - 4 {x}^{2}  + 5x + 3 \\  \\ p( - 1) =  - 4{( - 1)}^{2}  + 5( - 1) + 3 \\  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  - 4 - 5 + 3 \\  \\ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   =  - 9 + 3 \\  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: =  - 6
