TO FIND:

  • The Value of polynomial x²-x-1 at x = -1.

ANSWER:

Given:

  • A polynomial is given to us.
  • The polynomial is x²-x-1 .

Let us denote the polynomial by p(x)

Now ,

\sf{\leadsto p(x) = x^2-x-1}

\sf{\leadsto p(-1) = (-1)^2-(-1)-1}

\sf{\leadsto p(-1) = 1+1-1}

\red{\bf{\mapsto p(-1)=1}}

Hence the required answer is 1.
