x-y = 2 ( let it be equation first )

x+y=8 ( let it be equation second )

On adding equation first and second , we get

x + y + x - y = 2 + 8

2x = 10

x = 5

x + y = 8

y = 3

The value of x is 5 and value of y is 3 .
